Climate change and environmental crisis are widely debated both in the
political and scientific arena. The energy field is one of the most
crucial ones, where socio-technical innovations are claimed to foster a
more sustainable future. In this lecture, theoretical frames and
empirical insights will be discussed, consistently with these main
issues: how eco-innovation is translated in social practices, how local
communities are engaged and perform the transition?
